Diving

Left Airlie and sailed out to Hook Reef.  Part of the Great Barrier Reef.   The coral gives protection from the waves and we had to work our way around a bunch of coral heads to find a place to anchor.  Have to arrive and leave mid day for good visuals of the heads

Did some snorkeling around the coral heads and planned to scuba dive the next day on an adjacent reef but the wind was picking up to over 18 knots and these reefs don’t give that much protection so we heading back to Hook Island

We did three dives in the area over the next three days

Saw a very pretty fish that just stayed put waving its fins around

sort of saying "look at me, I'm pretty"

butterflyfish

Then some creature appears that wasn't so pretty!!
