Just north of Phuket is Phang Nga. Famous for its picturesque islands
You can sure tell when you are entering Phang Nga bay because the islands are more jagged
Phang Nga bay is also famous for it's hongs.
A hong is an open air lagoon on an island that is only accessible through a cave.
Most can only be entered at a certain stage of tide
We paddled about 50 yards into this dark cave but couldn't enter the lagoon as the tide was too high
We spent the night anchored off what is called Gypsy Village
The houses are all on stilts and over water at high tide
They had some weird little pancakes for sale, didn't taste too bad
We then went to another island and easily passed through a very short entrance and entered
the hong. It was very pretty with lots of bats flying around.
The next island had a little rubber plantation
Next stop the marina so Illimite' can have a "spa week" just like Noelle did
While I am working on the boat Noelle is going home for Christmas
