After a pleasant month in the US visiting friends and family spent over 32 hours returning to Singapore. Then took a car back to Illimite' at a marina in Malaysia. This entailed checking into and out of Singapore then clearing into Malaysia. Once back to Illimite' we then cleared out of Malaysia so we could get an early start to Indonesia the next morning with the tide. Was very happy that Illimite' was in good condition as I had heard of a boat taking a lightning strike in the same marina. Just had to rinse the dirt off the decks and provision
Hauling our groceries to the boat on afternoon of June 4th wearing the same clothes I left my dads house wearing at 0400 June 2nd. Did cross a date line though. After a shower and a good nights sleep cast off at 0600 the next morning for Indonesia. Motored the whole way as we had to go by Singapore and play frogger across the Singapore Straits shipping channels again. Almost had to use my most excellent French to not get run over by the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier but they must have noticed Illimite' was a French made boat and avoided me! Looks like they need to buy some more planes however!
We were hoping to clear in to Indonesia at Nongsa Point and then depart the next day for the Anambas Islands so we could have time for a week of diving before joining a sailboat rally in Borneo but it seems its a holliday so we may have a delay. Forced rest, relaxation and boat washing
