After 42 days we finally sighted land for the first time
Kodiak Island, Alaska
Illimite' has not been to the US in 3 1/2 years
On our entry into St. Pauls Harbour, Kodiak we got to
witness some humpback whales bubble feeding
The day we arrived we went to a park and had
a nice hike, Abercrombie Park
People had told us to be careful as there have been a lot of Kodiak
bear sightings but we did not see any
Just a beautiful lake
After our hike we went back to a bar and grill close to the
boat and had some great local cod fish and chips
as well as a local IPA
Our first dine in experience in about 3 months!
The next day we cast off and had a 40 hour sail to Seward Alaska
