We left Hilo and did an overnight sail to the
Kona coast of Hawaii. On the way we rounded South Cape. The Southernmost point in the USA
We anchored in Kealakekua Bay. This is where Captain Cook met his end
Noelle got a nice photo of his monument
This bay had some nice snorkeling and was frequented by
Spinner Dolphin.
Noelle took some fun video

We anchored in several bays that did not have very big sand patches
Had to keep the anchor in the middle so the chain would not hit coral
Sometimes this required moving the anchor just a bit for better position.
The 33kg anchor is heavy even under water and hard to move
But Noelle caught me moving it in about 30 foot of water.
Caught a final sunset on the Kona coast and off for an overnight sail to Maui
