Motoring down a picturesque fiord toward McCarty Glacier
Drone selfie while anchored at McCarty Glacier
We were going to take in another glacier but as a gale was on the way
we went on in to Seward for supplies. We met another sailor on the dock
who gave us a shrimp trap. So I bought a 600ft spool of line and here is
our trap set by Bainbridge Glacier in Prince William Sound
(a vinegar bottle spray painted orange for a float)
We actually didn't catch any shrimp that day to eat.
We did catch probably 1000 five mm shrimp
But the next time we caught at least 8 nice shrimp.
Unfortunately the octopus ate 4 of them so we only got 4!
I may not be able to make it as a commercial shrimper
Pulling a trap up the length of 2 football fields with a drifting boat is not fun anyway
At least they are nice sized shrimp.
And taste good!
