Had one of our closest Orca encounters about a day out from Ketchikan
We were just floating and taking pictures at a distance
of mama and a calf
The baby then did a "sky hopping" maneuver
They say they do this to look over the area
The orcas kept working closer to our boat
I then pretty much missed this shot as the male came up
right next to us and I was still zoomed a little

As if the day could not have been better, it started off with our best shrimp catch ever!
