While roaming the beach in the Kuna Yala's
Noelle got her picture taken with a local castaway. I think it's Gilligan!
Another beautiful anchorage in the Holandes Cays of Kuna Yala
Here the local official caught up with us in his dugout canoe
and we had topay a $10 fee for a month anchoring permit
The local snorkeling though was well worth it
We then had to head over to the mainland where Noelle's friend Lory
caught a ride to the airprort. On the way we went by some of the islands
inhabited by the Kuna Yala Indians. If the ocean levels rise as much as
predicted they are going to definitely have to move!
Noelle and I did some more cruising in the islands
This is our last stop, Coco Alto Island
A little tricky getting into the anchorage through the reef
In the lower part of the picture you can see a net some locals put out
after we anchored. Couldn't tell if they caught much though
But the snorkeling was some of the best we had seen in these islands.
Now its back to Shelter Bay Marina to provision and get
cleared out of Panama and head north towards Key West, FL USA
hopefully via Grand Cayman if we can jump through their Covid hurdles
