Penang

Penang is a wonderful little island off the coast of Malaysia with a long history

It is quite developed along the coast

We did a 36 hour sail from Port Dickson to get here and

arrived just before dark so we anchored behind the lower

tip of the island in the distance for the first night

Took a cable train to the top of the island for this picture

On the way to Penang we had to pass by a multitude of fishing boats 

night and day, at least they were usually well lit

Walking around Penang were a lot of old pre-WWII buildings

and we almost got run down by some crazy kids on a bike!

Made the situation tense trying to select dinner
